Death Note - The Movie

I've just finished watching the first of Death Note's two-part film version. I've yet to finish the anime but, insofar as the premise/storyline of Death Note is concerned, I must say the movie was a fairly good adaptation.

Tatsuya Fujiwara played Light's part excellently, Erika Toda played Misa's character as annoyingly cute as she can be, and Ryuk in 3D is just as ugly. As for Ken'ichi Matsuyama playing L - he entertained me more than I ever imagined. Despite his looking like the lost member of The Cure, I never thought L could be, believe it or not, adorable! Up to now I still can't get over the scene when he's munching a huge bar of chocolate, holding it almost childishly, while watching and seriously mulling over recorded videos of crimes related to KIRA.

I also noticed Fujiwara's resemblance to Oh-Chan - I mean of course Oh-Chan is much better-looking ^.^ but Fujiwara's posture seemed to resemble Ohno's, at least during Arashi's Pikanchi days.
